Trauma-Informed Leadership in Community Governments

This course introduces trauma in a way that is practical, respectful, and grounded in northern realities. Learners will explore what trauma is, how colonial history has shaped lived experiences, and how trauma can show up in individuals, families, workplaces, and communities. The course focuses on building understanding rather than blame, and supports learners to recognize strengths, resilience, and pathways forward. Through reflection and practical guidance, participants will learn small, realistic actions they can take to contribute to safer, more supportive environments for themselves and others.
