Climate Change Webinar Series
The Climate Change Adaptation Webinar Series brings together NWT community governments and subject matter experts to share practical experiences, lessons learned and approaches to planning for and responding to climate change. The series is offered by MACA’s Community Government Learning and Development program as part of a broader GNWT initiative led by the Department of Environment and Climate Change (ECC), with funding from Natural Resources Canada’s Climate Change Adaptation Program. Four webinars will be offered during 2026/27. Topics and recordings will be added to this page as they become available.
Climate Adaptation in Action – Tuktoyaktuk Coastal Armouring Project
This webinar looks at Tuktoyaktuk’s experience responding to coastal erosion and the development of its coastal armouring project. Participants will hear about the challenges the community faced, how partners moved from evidence and planning to implementation, lessons learned through the project, and considerations for other NWT communities undertaking climate adaptation work.
